Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has once again emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting economically weaker families through the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana 2025. Under this scheme, the state government provides ₹1 lakh for each couple, and ₹60,000 is directly transferred to the bride’s bank account. CM Yogi also mentioned that even wedding invitation cards are printed by the District Magistrate’s office, ensuring transparency and proper monitoring.
The scheme is not just about financial assistance. It encourages collective or mass weddings, where many couples are married together in simple, community-friendly ceremonies. The remaining amount from the financial aid is used to provide gifts such as a new mobile phone and essential household items.
With a strong focus on women’s welfare and social security, the Yogi government has made the Samuhik Vivah Yojana a major support system for poor families, helping them fulfill their responsibilities with dignity while strengthening social unity.
The Mukhyamantri Samoohik Vivaah Yojana has been planned and designed by the Social Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh. For the Bride & Groom
- Must be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh.
- The bride must be at least 18 years old, and the groom at least 21 years old.
- The couple must belong to economically weaker sections (EWS).
- Benefits are provided for first marriage only, except for widows or deserted women.

- The family’s annual income must not exceed ₹3,00,000 (₹3 lakh).
