📘 What Is DAKSPSSY?

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Shramik Pravidhik Shiksha Sahayata Yojana (DAKSPSSY) is a financial assistance/scholarship scheme launched by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to support the technical education of children whose parents are registered workers in the state. The goal is to reduce economic barriers that prevent children from pursuing higher and vocational technical studies.

The main aim of this scheme is to provide economic support so that students from worker families can enroll in professional and technical courses without financial strain, thereby improving their skills and future job prospects.


📚 Who Is Eligible?

To qualify for this scholarship:

  • 👨‍👩‍👧 Worker’s Status: The parent/guardian must be a registered worker in Uttar Pradesh under either the Shops & Commercial Establishments Act, 1962 or the Factories Act, 1948.
  • 💰 Income Limit: The worker’s monthly wage (basic + dearness allowance) should not exceed ₹15,000 (some sources cite up to ₹24,000 as a threshold in similar listings, but the official scheme limit is generally ₹15,000).
  • 🎓 Student’s Enrollment: The applicant (student) must be enrolled in an approved technical education program

🎓 Courses Covered

The scheme supports students pursuing:

  • Degree Courses: e.g., B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA, MBBS, and other technical degrees.
  • Diploma Courses: Polytechnic, PG Diploma, vocational diplomas.
  • Certificate Courses: ITI or other certified technical/vocational programs

💰 Benefits (Scholarship Amounts)

The financial assistance is a one‑time award based on the level of course:

The scholarship is directly transferred to the student’s bank account once approved.
