To address this issue, the government has proposed a Residential School Scheme (Awasiya Vidyalaya Yojana) for the children of registered construction workers. The aim is to provide free, quality education along with full residential facilities for children aged 6 to 14 years, covering primary, upper primary, and secondary education.

In the initial phase, the Awasiya Vidyalaya Yojana will be implemented in the following districts:
